Only in Denver can you attend Catholic mass outside on the church lawn set in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. And only in Denver will a priest announce during mass that there will be breakfast burritos after mass and while you wait in line you can enjoy a beer because after all it's 5 o'clock somewhere.
Around 8:30 this morning we were settled on our quilt on the church lawn ready for Light of the World's annual Mass on the Grass and Rajin' Cajun Summer Fair. This is our favorite event of the church year. Below are some videos taken from this year's events.
