Preparing for Blastball

Unfortunately, Micah's birthday was 26 days too late to allow him to play blastball this fall.

Blastball is a version of t-ball for 3-year-olds that consists of hitting a t-ball off of a tee and running to first base. Except first base isn't your ordinary bag. In blastball the bag honks when the kids step on it. Like most t-ball leagues there are no outs and everyone gets to bat each inning. The only big difference in blastball and t-ball is that the kids don't run past first base. The defensive side is exactly the same: a bunch of 3-year-olds all run for the ball after it's hit. Once the dog pile is dismantled, one child proudly raises their arm in the air holding the ball and the play is complete.

Since we're FINALLY getting some cooler weather (imagine high 80s to low 90s....ahhhhh refreshing), Tom's been working with the little man in the back yard.
