During the afternoon of the 4th we drove across the island to go play with the dolphins at Dolphin Discovery. This turned out to be the highlight of the whole trip for Micah, and I guess for me too.
Since Micah is so young, we were put into a small group with only one other mom and child. It was great! Micah got to spend more time with the dolphin with each trick than each of the other groups.
We learned some interesting facts about dolphins in general and all about Alma, our dophin for the afternoon. Alma was rescued in the Carribean after she was hit by a boat. Her tail fin was badly injured and it was determined that she would not make it in the wild. She adapted to life at Dolphin Discovery quickly and she is now 25 years old.
We even pet some stingrays (that had their stingers removed).
Here's Alma!
Micah loved when she would make the different noises. He giggled and giggled and tried to immitate her.
